Biography

Adelheld Helbich (actuary, BWV) was born in Northern Germany, in Visbek, near Vechta (between Bremen and Osnabrück). Her father was head of the IT-department at a German military airport and her mother who devoted her life entirely to her familz and children.

After completing a degree in fashion and jewelry design, she opened a small fashion boutique in Berlin. During extensive travels all over Europe, she also came to Vienna where she opened another fashion boutique. This is where she met her husband, Dr. Nikolaus Helbich.

Together with her husband and associate Dr. Nikolaus Helbich, she started working in Germany as an idenpendent financial advisor in 1987. Shortly thereafter together they founded Helbich GmbH - Financial Care Concepts in 1991 which has focused on consulting services in the areas of health insurance, financial security, real estate, and financing. Due to a growing and more internationally geared clientele In July 2001 they founded German Health Plans Worldwide Inc. in New York, which extended its services to New Jersey in 2006.  During the past 20 years, Ms. Helbich has gathered “hands-on” experience and educated herself by attending professional seminars. Her passion lies within the personal contact and the joint effort of resolving problems together with her clients and partners.

Adelheid Helbich loves to spend her spare time with one of her most important hobbies – designing collages and mosaics – in her Cape May studio located on the southernmost tip of the New Jersey shore. She enjoys singing blues, old jazz, and chansons, as well as dancing. Her clients describe Adelheid Helbich as a very cordial person and as someone with attention to the essential who focuses on personalized and competent service.

She is the President and CEO of Helbich GmbH and German Health Plans Worldwide, Inc. as well as a member of the German American Chamber of Commerce in New York (GACC) and the Chamber of Commerce in Hamburg.
