»I met Dr. Nikolaus Helbich and his wife, Adelheid Helbich, at an introductory workshop about “Health Insurance Options for Germans in the US” in October 2002 at the German Society of Pennsylvania. Since I had recently moved to Philadelphia, PA, I wanted to find out about my options with regards to the best health insurance for my specific needs. I made a phone appointment with Dr. Helbich, in which he analyzed my general health situation, my plans for the future and my needs for health insurance. Within a few days I had two offers from different German health insurance companies. Dr. Helbich explained advantages and disadvantages competently; he was very responsive to all my questions, to my emails and phone calls and generally gave me the impression that he is an insurance partner who represents with German Health insurers. I made a decision, signed a contract with one of the insurance companies he suggested and have not regretted my decision since,
Even when I changed jobs and asked my new employer to cover my insurance in Germany as part of my benefits plan, he got in touch with my employer and suggested a smooth procedure to execute the international transaction. Unfortunately, I was under a tight deadline for this transaction and without Dr. Helbich’s ”thinking out of the box” would not have been successful to continue my coverage without interruption.
In choosing to consult with Dr. Helbich and his wife, I feel that I have found partners I can count on if my life situation changes and I need any change in my insurance plan.
